Australian Pacific College

In 1993, the APC concept was created.

In 1994, APC registered and formally accredited as an English College.

In 1995 the first English for Academic Purposes, High School Preparation and IELTS Preparation students commenced their courses.

In 1997, APC was registered by the New South Wales Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) as a provider of General English (Beginner to Advanced), English for Academic Purposes (Intermediate to Advanced) and High School Preparation (Beginner to Intermediate).

In 1998, APC applied for and was accepted as a full member of English Australia (formerly known as ELICOS Association), and formally approved as a Registered Training Organisation with the NSW Vocational Education Training Advisory Board (VETAB) to deliver Vocational programs in Business and Information Technology. In this same year, APC's second campus opened in Clarence St, Sydney and the first Diploma of Business students graduated.

In 2003, APC won the Australia-Latin America Business Council - Austrade 'Language Education Award'.

In 2006, APC's third campus at Manly Beach in Sydney was established.

In 2008, APC's fourth campus was established in Bondi Junction, and its fifth campus was at York Street, both in Sydney. 

In 2009, the Bondi Junction campus was expanded to double its capacity.

In 2010, APC launched the Diploma of Tourism program under APC's School of Tourism and Hospitality. The sixth campus was also opened on Albert Street in Brisbane, Queensland. This was APC's first interstate campus. 

In 2011, the first local Australian student commenced study at APC and the first Diploma of Tourism students graduated. 

In 2012, APC's first accounting students completed their qualifications. APC Brisbane was also accredited as a Registered Training Organisation and started delivering courses.

2013 was a busy year, with the launch of myAPC mobile. This enabled students to check timetables, results, and attendance on their phones. It also marked the launch of the APC Job Assistance Service to provide students with help applying for jobs in Australia. 

A new promotional video was released and APC's first hospitality students commenced their courses. APC's first TESOL students also completed their qualification and could teach English in Australia and overseas. 

APC also won the Best of Sydney Award for Best Educational Institution.

In 2014 we celebrated our 20th year of accreditation and won another Best of Sydney Award for Best Educational Institution.

Our newest campus opened in Lonsdale St, Melbourne, giving APC a presence in three states.

Our campuses on the Gold Coast and Queen Street in Melbourne opened.

APC opened its first purpose-built design centre, at Hickson Rd in Sydney.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, APC released its Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for all new and existing students. This continues to enable students to receive a high-standard of education no matter where they are.

In 2021 APC continued to deliver our VET programs in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). We retained our student base, by providing support to the struggling students and dramatically reducing our tuition fees (in some cases 50%). Our mission was to maintain the quality of our programs and high satisfaction rating by our graduates.

2022 was a year of hope and high expectations for the Australian borders reopening. We renovated and refurbished campuses in anticipation of returning to face to face learning. Project Base initiative also resumed in the second half of the year.

The year 2023 started with the positive energy the Year of the Rabbit and, and  Australian borders reopening. We welcomed all our students back to campuses. We also reopened our Manly campus and opened a brand new campus in the heart of Adelaide. Reflective of our growth and expansion we are scheduled to open another campus in Melbourne later this year.
